A lot of people like to talk about following their dreams but few really do.

It's scary.

Often times following your dreams means that the dreamer has to leave his or her comfort zone whether that is a hometown close to family and friends or a high paying job with lots of security. Sometimes it means trying something completely new and different with little formal training. But it always means tackling something for which the dreamer has great passion.

And most times it means taking a risk - a big risk.

Tom Hofbauer has done all that and he loves to share his experiences, the good and the bad, with audiences of all types - students in high school and college, professional and club organizations, individuals ready to jump into film, entertainment or just about anything new and challenging.

"I thought you were great! You didn't sugarcoat your life. You told us the downfalls in your life and told us how you got out of it". Entrepreneurial Studies Student, Bowling Green State University

Tom believes that complete disclosure is important when talking to people about his professional journey. There are downfalls and setbacks. Often times there are many failures before success comes along. And there are also failures that can arise after a significant success.

Tom likes to share it all.

In this program he talks about his journey from college through his first professional job and the route his journey took in bringing him to his present day challenges.

"The honesty of your story is compelling. You've had plenty of success but you focus on key life transitions. Bravo!" Entrepreneurial Studies Student, Bowling Green State University

His speaking style is funny, compelling, honest and straightforward. And while his presentations can be very entertaining, Tom also provides information that is helpful in following one's dreamsÑpractical concerns about the task at hand, surviving the change in lifestyle or pursuit, or even learning a new way of thinking that encourages success.

"Wow. I'm inspired...Your talk made me want to take action." Creative Process Student, Bowling Green State University
